Assistive Technology Exchange Center
ATEC is a comprehensive assistive technology resource center that is a part of Goodwill of Orange County. We have been helping people with disabilities and other barriers maximize their independence since 1996. We offer consultation and assessment services, access to equipment and support in learning how to use assistive technology.

Who qualifies
ATEC will provide assistive technology assessment and training services to anyone with a disability.

Southern California locations
We have a 7,000-square-foot facility in Santa Ana. We also provide home services in Orange and Los Angeles counties, as well as parts of Riverside, San Bernardino and San Diego counties.

Autism Speaks
Non-profit organization that advocates for services, research, information and awareness for individuals with Autism:

At Autism Speaks, our goal is to change the future for all who struggle with autism spectrum disorders.

We are dedicated to funding global biomedical research into the causes, prevention, treatments, and cure for autism; to raising public awareness about autism and its effects on individuals, families, and society; and to bringing hope to all who deal with the hardships of this disorder. We are committed to raising the funds necessary to support these goals.
California Department of Rehabilitation
The California Department of Rehabilitation works in partnership with consumers and other stakeholders to provide services and advocacy resulting in employment, independent living and equality for individuals with disabilities.

Council for Exceptional Children
The Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) is the largest international professional organization dedicated to improving educational outcomes for individuals with exceptionalities, students with disabilities, and/or the gifted. CEC advocates for appropriate governmental policies, sets professional standards, provides continual professional development, advocates for newly and historically underserved individuals with exceptionalities, and helps professionals obtain conditions and resources necessary for effective professional practice.

The Greater Anaheim Special Education Local Plan Area coordinates special education services in the area and provides resources for parents and students.  The new Parent Handbook is now available.
Regional Center of Orange County
RCOC is a private, not-for-profit corporation contracting with the State of California for the provision of services to persons with developmental disabilities pursuant to the Lanterman Act.

The State of California contracts with 21 non-profit agencies called regional centers , each one covering a different geographic region. The centers are the first stop for persons with developmental disabilities and their families seeking help to obtain local supports and services. United Cerebral Palsy
United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) is the leading source of information on cerebral palsy and is a pivotal advocate for the rights of persons with any disability. As one of the largest health charities in America, the UCP mission is to advance the independence, productivity and full citizenship of people with disabilities through an affiliate network.
